Product Description
Product Description
The MultiPlus 12/500 - 20-16 - 120V - VE.Bus UL Approved is an essential power solution for marine and boating applications. Combining a true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger, and a high-speed AC transfer switch, the MultiPlus ensures reliable and efficient power management on board your vessel. Its compact design houses advanced features tailored to meet the demanding needs of marine environments.
Key Features
- True Sine Wave Inverter: Provides clean and stable power for sensitive marine electronics.
- Adaptive Battery Charger: Utilizes advanced charging technology to optimize battery health and longevity.
- High-Speed AC Transfer Switch: Ensures seamless power switching between different sources without interruption.
- Compact Enclosure: Designed to fit efficiently in limited marine spaces.
Parallel Operation and Three-Phase Capability
Expand your power system with up to six MultiPlus units operating in parallel, delivering higher power output to meet the demands of larger vessels. Additionally, configure three units for three-phase output, providing balanced power distribution across multiple systems on board.
PowerControl: Optimize Generator and Shore Power Usage
Set maximum generator or shore power limits with the Multi Control Panel. The MultiPlus intelligently manages additional AC loads, utilizing excess power to charge batteries. This prevents overloading your generator or shore supply, ensuring efficient and safe power usage.
PowerAssist: Enhance Shore or Generator Power Capacity
PowerAssist takes PowerControl a step further by supplementing limited shore or generator power. During peak demand periods, the MultiPlus draws power from the battery to compensate for insufficient shore or generator output. Once the load decreases, the system automatically recharges the battery, ensuring a stable power supply without overburdening your primary sources.
Advanced Battery Charging Technology
The MultiPlus features a four-stage adaptive charger that fine-tunes the charging process based on battery conditions. This intelligent charging sequence includes:
- Bulk Charging
- Absorption Charging
- Float Charging
- Long-Term Float Charging
Additionally, the MultiPlus supports dual-bank battery charging, allowing simultaneous charging of a main house battery and a starter battery with an independent trickle charge output.
High Start-Up Power
Designed to handle high-inrush loads common on boats, such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lighting, and electric tools, ensuring reliable operation of all your marine equipment.
Energy Efficiency Features
Search Mode: Reduces inverter power consumption by approximately 70% during no-load or low-load conditions. The MultiPlus intermittently activates the inverter every two seconds, conserving energy while maintaining readiness to supply power when needed.
Programmable Relay
Customize the relay function to suit your marine setup. By default, the relay acts as an alarm relay, de-energizing during alarms such as overheating, input ripple issues, or low battery voltage. This feature can be adjusted to perform functions like general alarms or generator start/stop signals.
Remote Control and Monitoring
Integrate the MultiPlus with Victron’s Cerbo GX or other GX products to connect to the internet, enabling remote monitoring and control via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. Access operational data, adjust settings, and manage your power system from anywhere with an internet connection.
On-Site System Configuration
After installation, the MultiPlus is ready for immediate use. Customize settings through DIP switches, including remote switch control, battery charge voltage, inverter frequency, and search mode. For advanced configurations, utilize VE-Config or the VE.Bus Smart dongle.
