Advanced Monitoring and Safety

The Lynx Distributor not only facilitates robust power distribution but also enhances safety by continuously monitoring each fuse's condition. Each fuse slot can be equipped with an optional LED that indicates whether the fuse is intact or has blown.

When all fuses are operating correctly, the central LED remains green. If a fuse blows or is missing, both the central LED and the corresponding fuse LED turn red, alerting you to take immediate action. For installations where not all DC distribution points are utilized, dummy fuses can be installed to prevent false red LED indications.

Compatibility and Installation

To utilize the fuse indication LEDs on the Lynx Distributor, a connection to a Lynx Shunt is required. The Lynx Shunt provides the necessary wide input (8 to 70 VDC) and converts it to a stable 5V (4.5V - 5.5V) power supply needed by the Distributor's circuit board.

Connections between the Lynx Shunt and Distributor are made using RJ11 fly leads, which are included in the Distributor package. The Lynx Shunt features two ports, offering flexibility for your marine electrical setup.
