Optimized Load Balancing for Marine Applications

In a 120/240V split-phase supply common on boats, managing load balance is crucial. The Autotransformer ensures that both 120V legs are balanced even when various loads are connected. Without proper balancing, you might face current unbalance, limiting the effective use of your power supply. For instance, in a 30A supply, unbalanced loads could reduce your available power from 7.2 kVA to 4.8 kVA.

Our Autotransformer solves this by creating a new neutral and absorbing any load unbalance. This maintains balanced current flow on both legs, allowing you to fully utilize your 30A supply without overloading one leg while the other remains underutilized.
