Description

This high-quality hydraulic cylinder is engineered specifically for inboard engines, integrating seamlessly into your boat's steering mechanism. A hydraulic steering system typically includes a steering pump, a cylinder connected to the rudder or outboard/sterndrive engine, and the necessary hoses. When the steering wheel is turned, the pump moves oil through the hoses to the cylinder, directing the movement based on the turn direction.

The cylinder's movement allows oil to flow back to the pump while simultaneously adjusting the engine or helm position, thanks to valves that prevent fluid from returning through the same hose. This design supports multiple steering stations, enhancing maneuverability and control. Our double-acting, balanced cylinder ensures that the number of steering wheel turns from center to end stroke remains consistent in both opposite directions, providing a stable and predictable steering experience.

The UC 116-I hydraulic cylinder features a mobile rod that attaches directly to the helm arm via a ball joint, ensuring secure and smooth operation. On the opposite side, it is firmly mounted to the boat using a support plate, ensuring durability and reliability in various marine conditions.
