NavPod AngleGuards are engineered to upgrade sailboat steering systems, enabling the seamless mounting of electronics onto NavPods. Designed for durability and performance, these AngleGuards ensure your navigation and electronic equipment remain secure and concealed, even under demanding marine conditions.

Compatibility

The TP125 Top Plate Adaptor is compatible with steering systems from leading manufacturers:

• Edson: Utilizes a 9.5" wide pedestal guard, typically with a 1" diameter.
• Lewmar (formerly Whitlock): Also employs the 9.5" wide format steering systems.

NavPod offers the SG10 and AG10 models as straightforward retrofits for these systems, ensuring a perfect fit and enhanced functionality.

Enhanced Wiring and Cable Management

To maintain a clean and secure setup, the TP125 Adaptor accommodates larger connectors and heavy radar cables within stainless steel tubes. NavPod recommends the 1.25" diameter AngleGuards for optimal wire concealment and durability.

Installation may require boring out the existing Top Plate or replacing it with the TP125 to fit the larger diameter AngleGuards. Additionally, NavPod includes polished stainless steel feet with all 1.25" AngleGuards, ensuring a stable and aesthetically pleasing finish.

Installation Guide

1. Remove the existing Top Plate from your Edson or Lewmar steering system.
2. Install the TP125 Top Plate Adaptor in place of the original plate.
3. Attach the 1.25" AngleGuard to the adaptor, ensuring all connections are secure.
4. Utilize the polished stainless steel feet provided for a stable installation.
5. Conceal and organize your wires and cables within the stainless steel tubes for a clean setup.
