Product Description
Product Description
Maretron’s Submersible Pressure Transducer 0-3 PSI is an essential tool for accurately monitoring tank levels in marine and boating applications. Designed for direct installation in various tank types, this transducer delivers reliable performance in harsh marine environments, ensuring you stay informed about your tank’s status at all times.
Key Features
- Operating Range: 0 to 3 PSI (0.207 bar)
- Submersible design for direct tank installation
- Compatible with NMEA 2000® networks via Maretron FPM100 Fluid Pressure Monitor
- Durable construction with 316L stainless steel body and diaphragm
- Suitable for a wide range of fluids and gases including diesel, gasoline, and fresh water
- Easy installation with or without a restraining tube
- Accurate readings with ±0.3% Full Scale accuracy at 25°C
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to mount and connect the submersible pressure transducer:
-
Mounting Options: Choose one of the two recommended methods:
- Without a Restraining Tube: Install the transducer directly into the tank.
- With a Restraining Tube: Use a restraining or focus tube (sold separately, Maretron part number TFT-5H) for added stability.
- Prepare the Tank: Ensure your tank has a 5-hole SAE J1810 fitting at the top.
- Attach the Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate with a cord grip onto the transducer cable, making sure the rounded hex section faces away from the transducer.
- Position the Transducer: Lower the pressure transducer into the tank, placing it at the lowest point. Tighten the cord grip to secure the cable, preventing rotation while allowing slight lateral movement.
-
Wiring Connections:
- Connect the red wire from the pressure transducer to the positive (+) terminal of a free pressure monitoring channel.
- Connect the black wire from the pressure transducer to the negative (-) terminal of the channel.
- Refer to Figure 1 in the Owner's Manual (PDF) for a visual guide.
- System Configuration: Use a Maretron DSM Series Display (firmware 1.4.7 or higher) or a PC with Maretron’s N2KAnalyzer software (version 1.4.19 or higher) to configure the connected channel(s) on the FPM100 Fluid Pressure Monitor.
- Power and Verification: Supply power to the NMEA 2000 network and verify that the pressure channel displays a valid reading.
