Installation Process

1. Prepare the Fitting: Slide the GROCO thru-hull fitting, flanged end first, over the THT-530 tool. The tool will automatically stop at the proper step to ensure correct placement.
2. Secure the Monofilament: Tie a length of monofilament to the eye and insert it into the pre-cut hole in the boat's hull.
3. Apply Caulking: Apply caulking to the flange of the fitting to create a watertight seal.
4. Install the Fitting: Pull the fitting through the hole, pressing it firmly against the hull from the inside of the boat.
5. Finalize the Connection: Thread the monofilament through the locknut or seacock. With the fitting secured against the hull, screw the locknut or seacock onto the fitting to complete the installation.
