The basis of the SWEETANK system lies in its ability to disrupt the natural balance of bacteria within raw sewage. While both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria coexist in holding tanks, it is the anaerobic bacteria that generate the most offensive odors. SWEETANK introduces a continuous flow of air into the holding tank via a submerged aeration tube, creating an oxygen-rich environment that inhibits the growth of odor-producing anaerobic bacteria.
