The Concept

A simple quarter-turn quick-release plug can add significant safety and flexibility to any marine water system. Our Engine Flush Kit & Adaptor allows you to easily integrate an SSC onto any seacock, enabling instant emergency bilge pumping and simplifying winterization and cooling system flushing procedures.

Applications

Emergency Bilge Pumping

In the event of an emergency, close the seacock and remove the quick-release plug while the engine is running. Excess bilge water will be efficiently pumped overboard by the engine's raw water pump. For pumping out remote bilge locations, pair this kit with our GROCO BSA Bilge Strainer.

Winterization

Prevent freezing and ensure your cooling system remains functional during off-seasons. Close the seacock, remove the quick-release plug, and insert the included service adaptor. Anti-freeze can then be safely pumped into the cooling system, protecting your engine from cold weather damage.

Cooling System Flushing

Maintain optimal engine performance by regularly flushing the cooling system. Close the seacock and insert the service adaptor, then use dockside water to flush the system while the engine runs at idle speed. This process removes any built-up sediments and ensures efficient engine cooling.
