How It Works

The oil pressure gauge functions by transmitting a low amperage current through its meter to the ground via a sending unit with variable resistance. Changes in engine oil pressure and temperature affect the sending unit's resistance, which in turn alters the current flow. This variation causes the meter to deflect, accurately displaying the current oil pressure and allowing for real-time monitoring of your engine's performance.
