How It Works

The oil pressure gauge operates by sending a low amperage current through the meter to ground via a sending unit with variable resistance. Changes in pressure and temperature cause the sending unit's resistance to fluctuate, which in turn alters the current flow. This variation causes the meter to deflect, accurately displaying the current oil pressure.
