How It Works

The Chesapeake White SS Fuel Level Gauge operates by transmitting a low amperage current through the meter to ground via a sending unit with variable resistance. Changes in fuel pressure and temperature affect the resistance of the sending unit. As the resistance varies, the current flowing through to ground adjusts accordingly, causing the meter to deflect and display the accurate fuel level.
