Installing the Chesapeake Black Tachometer is straightforward. Connect the tachometer to a +12VDC power source, ground, and one of the compatible signal sources such as the ignition system, alternator, tach signal generator, or magnetic pickup sender. Ensure you select the correct tachometer model and set the switch on the back to match the pulse rate per engine revolution for accurate readings. Additionally, this tachometer can be adapted for 24 VDC systems, providing flexibility for various marine electrical setups.
