Features

The AIS Engine 3 works alongside a conventional marine antenna to plot vessels on your PC or AIS-compatible plotter with ease. The included software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, 2000, NT, and Vista, featuring a world map where vessels are dynamically plotted. Selecting any vessel on the screen reveals detailed AIS data, including the vessel's name, MMSI number, position, call sign, and destination.

GPS Integration

An optional GPS input (RMC sentence) is available on the AIS Engine 3. When connected, it displays your vessel’s latitude and longitude on the chart, providing precise location data directly on your screen.

Dual AIS Channel Reception

The AIS Engine 3 can receive AIS signals on either the A or B channels. By default, it alternates between both channels to ensure comprehensive vessel detection in your vicinity.

Compatibility with Other Systems

The AIS Engine 3 is compatible with various plotters and PC software that support AIS input. Ensure compatibility with your software provider by verifying the requirement for an NMEA 0183HS input at 38,400 baud to accept VDM AIS strings corresponding to ITU-1371 standards.

Connectivity Options

If your PC lacks a spare 9-pin serial port, a low-cost serial to USB converter is available as an optional accessory, ensuring seamless integration with modern computers.
