Installation and Maintenance

Proper installation and regular maintenance of the Fluid Reservoir are essential for the longevity and performance of your marine hydraulic system. Follow these steps to ensure optimal functionality:

1. Periodically check the fluid level in the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU).
2. Ensure the trim tabs are completely retracted before checking the fluid level.
3. The fluid level should be maintained at about 2 inches from the bottom of the reservoir, which is approximately 22 ounces.
4. If refilling is necessary, locate and remove the Lexan cover and filler plug situated at the front left-hand corner of the reservoir.
5. Fill the reservoir using only Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) to ensure compatibility and performance.

Maintaining the correct fluid level helps prevent damage to the trim tab system and ensures smooth operation of your boat's hydraulic functions.
