The OLAS Float-On Light by ACR is a state-of-the-art, buoyant safety device designed for marine and boating enthusiasts. This compact and smart crew overboard system enhances your vessel's safety by providing automatic water-activated signaling and seamless integration with mobile technology to ensure swift MOB (Man Overboard) recovery.
Advanced Safety Features
The OLAS Float-On Light is equipped with a buoyant, water-activated strobe and LED flashlight. Upon detecting six seconds of water contact through its integrated sensors, the high-power strobe activates automatically, flashing once every second for up to 20 hours. This intense strobe light is visible from up to 3 nautical miles away, significantly increasing the chances of a quick rescue.
When paired with the ACR OLAS mobile application, the system detects any break in the ‘virtual tether’ between the transmitter and the Float-On Light. If a transmitter goes missing, an audible alarm sounds within 8 seconds on the connected mobile device. The app then records the latitude and longitude of the incident using the device’s GPS, guiding the crew to the exact location with clear visual signals and bearing data.
Seamless Mobile Integration
With the OLAS mobile app integration, users can monitor up to six different OLAS Transmitters on a single phone or tablet. Each transmitter can also be tracked by an unlimited number of devices, ensuring comprehensive coverage. For larger fleets or additional transmitters, the OLAS CORE Base Station or OLAS GUARDIAN System can be added, allowing monitoring of up to 15 OLAS Transmitters.
