How OLAS Tag Works
The OLAS Tag operates by maintaining a virtual tether with the paired mobile device. If the tag becomes disconnected, the OLAS technology detects the break within 8 seconds. The connected phone or tablet then triggers an alarm and logs the incident's latitude and longitude using the device’s GPS. OLAS assists in MOB recovery by directing the crew to the exact location with clear visual signals and bearing data. Additionally, the system stores all relevant location data and incident times, which are crucial for rescue services.
For solo boaters, activating Solo mode on the OLAS app (requires a 2G phone signal) enables the system to automatically send an SMS with GPS coordinates to designated emergency contacts if separation from the boat occurs.

The system is designed to be scalable, allowing you to start with a single tag and expand up to 15 transmitters with additional OLAS CORE base stations or Guardian Engine Kill Switches.
OLAS is compatible with the OLAS Guardian Engine Kill Switch, OLAS CORE Base Station, and OLAS Extender, providing comprehensive safety solutions for vessels up to 80 feet in length.
