Ken Stephens
Ken is an amateur Naval Architect and has worked with hydrofoils. He has a passion for celestial navigation and photography.
Ken Stephens is retired, and has been a Nuclear Physicist, an Engineer, and a Professor for major universities. Currently, he teaches Lifelong Learning courses for the University of South Carolina.
During his Washington, DC time in the 1970s and 1980s, he was with the Annapolis Naval Sailing Association, where he captained a 45-foot ketch, theGeronimo, on the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic. During that time, sailing guests on his boat included media mogul, Ted Turner, and author Tom Clancy, while he was writing The Hunt for Red October.
